20세기 폭스 영화사의 새로 나온 영화 “FORD v FERRARI”는 역사적인 실제 스토리를 바탕으로 한 영화다. 아카데미 상을 수상한 배우 메튜 데이문 (Matt Damon) 과 크리스찬 베일 (Christian Bale)이 주연으로서 진가를 발휘, Joker 와 함께 올해 최고의 작품이라 판단된다. 전설적인 미국 자동차 디자이너 셀비 역에 데이문 Carroll Shelby (Damon)과 함께 24시간을 내달리는 극강의 자동차 경주 르망에서  이태리 명차 페라리와 대결을 펼칠 차량을 개발하고 직접 선수로 참여한 영국출신 이민자 켄 마일스 (Ken Miles) 역에 베일(Bale)이 펼치는 놀라운 이야기다. 영미식 분업화된 20세기자본주의 중심의 포드사와 같은 대기업에서 중소기업체와 기술 장인들을 어떻게 취급을 하고 다루는지 기업과 조직의 생리를 실감나게 폭로한다.

미국 포드 자동차사는 (Ford Motor Company) 자사의 명예를 높일 혁신적인 경주용 자동차를 만들어 1966년 프랑스의 르망 24 에서 페라리 (Enzo Ferrari)와 정면 대결해 결국 극적으로 1.2.3 등 모두 포드가 석권하며 승리를 쟁취한다.

Kenneth Henry Miles (1 November 1918 – 17 August 1966) was an English sports car racing engineer and driver best known for his motorsport career in the US and with American teams on the international scene. He is an inductee to the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.

His early career got Carroll Shelby's attention, who hired Miles as a test driver in the early 1960s. Miles helped Shelby develop the Shelby Cobra. He also is credited with helping Shelby develop the GT40 and the Mustang GT350.
